Topic:  What’s the funniest thing that happened during your pregnancy?

Nature’s way of helping you keep your sense of humor while you raise kids is to give you lots and lots of practice during your pregnancy.  After all, how else can you react but laugh when having to do the limbo to lower yourself onto a toilet seat during that last month (and since you had to pee roughly every five seconds, you did more limbo than Harry Belafonte)?

Thanks so much to ELIZABETH CARTER from Lawrenceville, GA for sending this great story:
"When I was about 7 or 8 months pregnant I had to go to a class for work. My daughter was a very active baby who rarely stayed still. (Almost 15 years later she still is!) While sitting in the class listening intently to the instructor, directly to the right and below my right boob the material of my shirt started kind of popping up and down. A young girl (probably in her early 20’s) was sitting across the table from me. I will never forget the look on her face when she spotted the moving shirt! It was so hard not to crack up as I sat there out of the corner of my eye watching her stare at my moving shirt! When the instructor gave us a break the girl leaned across the table and said, 'I’m sorry… I have to ask this. What is with your shirt? Why does it keep moving up and down?' I smiled and said 'Oh, that’s just the baby kicking! It happens all the time!' I could definitely tell she was young because she had no idea that a baby inside its mother could do that!"

So, we’d love to hear about the things that made you laugh most during your pregnancy.  Every mom needs as much laughter as she can get!

"Don't be disappointed when you behold your new baby and discover that you might not have given birth to the next model for the Gerber baby-food label. All newborns are funny-looking. Even yours. Often, especially yours. Peole laugh at newborns, and your little one will be no exception. Do not take umbrage."
